The first international festival of its kind in China that embraces diversity, social inclusion and equal participation, DAWA is made possible by over 30 Shanghai based cultural partners and organizations from Europe, China and beyond. 

 

DAWA's programs consist of various exhibitions, live performances, movie screenings, workshops, talks and sports activities. The festival is committed to providing appropriate services and facilities to ensure that everyone can enjoy the programs in a sensitive and safe environment.

 

DAWA shares the values of diversity, inclusion, accessibility, sustainability and equity. The festival’s goal is to combat stereotypes, remove barriers, raise awareness around disabilities, and foster the understanding of diversity and inclusion as an integral part of society.
